Cama Beach State Park

Cama Beach State Park is on the southwest shore of Camano Island facing Saratoga Passage in north Puget Sound. Cama Beach was a 1930's Puget Sound fishing resort with waterfront cedar cabins that have all been refurbished and available to rent.  It's amazing that you literally open your door and the seawall is RIGHT there!!!!

We've wanted to go for more than a year and we finally talked our friends into going!  The Happy Campers ditched the trailers for cabins this time and had a great weekend!!

The weather held out for us.  We were worried it would be a rainy March weekend, but we lucked out!  We were able to do lots of playing on the beach and hanging out.

Annalise was the "PRINCESS" who got the royal treatment all weekend.  She was the only kid allowed in Kim's new wagon (Lil' Buddy).

We did all of our cooking outside, too.

There was time for horseshoes and boat building, too!

Avery named her boat "DAFFODIL" and Annalise's was "CHARLIE".  We tried them out in the bath when we got home.  The look better than they sail! :)

On Saturday we headed back to Bellingham for Avery and Aidan's first soccer game.

Once she got in there she had a great time and did really well!!! :)

After the game it was back to the beach for an evening of playing and hanging out by the campfire singing songs!

In the morning it was time to pack up and wait for the shuttle to take us back to our cars.

One last shot of the group........it was a FUN weekend!!!  We'll definitely go back to Cama Beach!!!
