Halloween

The weekend before Halloween was a little rough for me.
Friday morning at school the whole classroom started spinning.
Apparently I had vertigo!  It was awful!  Unfortunately it lasted all weekend.

Friday night was Avery's first middle school dance.
She and her friend Hannah dressed up as minions....

It was also the night of the fall festival at Skyline.
So...super Daddy Mark stepped in and did it all.
Took the girls to the dance, then took Annalise to the fall festival!

I was pretty much down for the count, but the girls finished up the Halloween decorations.
Avery and Isa helped Mark with his spider web!

After a trip to the doctor and some amazing head tilting exercises I was much better by Tuesday!
Just in time for the craziness of Halloween!

We carved pumpkins the night before....

Then Guac, Carisa and the girls came up to go trick or treating with us!
Carisa helped with the makeup...

Guac supervised....
(as Alan from The Hangover)

Then it was time to go.
A whole group of middle schoolers came by to pick up Avery and Emera....

Then the littles were ready to hit the neighborhood!

It was a great (and productive) Halloween!!!

Grandma and Grandpa's Fall Visit

It was a lovely birthday weekend!
Grandma and Grandpa were in town to help celebrate.
Avery had a taekwondo belt test on Friday night....
with a captive audience!

Saturday was a great day to head out to Bellewood Acres for a little fall fun.
It didn't disappoint.
The corn cannon, face painting, corn maze, their rocking "horses" and of course the apples.

The wait was a little long for face painting, but Annalise hung in there!

Nice to just hang out and visit while we were waiting....

Always love the tractor ride in the apple barrels out to the orchard....

And those honeycrisp apples once you get there!!!!

Avery even helped make a carrot cake for my birthday!!!
(she loved grating the carrots!)

Avery was showing Grandma her viola.
She's really liking orchestra.  It's not even too painful to hear her practice!

Grandma took a turn, too!

And Annalise got a chance to read them some poems from her "new" favorite book!

Time together always seems to go so fast.
It's so nice when we get to do it though!

Cloud Mountain and Horse Rides

It was a beautiful day for the annual fall festival at Cloud Mountain Farm.
We had such a great time with Grandma and Grandpa last year we wanted to go again.
This time, Anne, Allan and Aidan (who live about a block away) met us (plus Ella and Isa) there.

So much fun!
Then we got to go and meet Anne's horses Skyy and Dusty.
The girls were ALL sooooooo excited.
Aidan gave Ella and Annalise a ride down to the pasture.

And there they were....ready for horses!!!

The boys too!

What a fun and memorable day!!!
