Happy Camper's Club 2012

Another successful Happy Camper's Club trip in the books!
We went back to Lake Pearrygin just outside of Winthrop, Wa.
Of course we had to spend some time in town....and a trip to Winthrop wouldn't be complete without a stop at the MOST photographed place in town! :)

THIS IS MY FAVORITE!!!  LOVE Annalise's face! :)

T-shirts this year took on a new meaning.  We got together with the McCormacks and gave each Happy Camper a nickname.  Some established....some new. :)  You can see by the reaction who got a new nickname! Avery and Payton did the unveiling.....

It was carnival night.....
The "Carnie" (a.k.a. Moob) was on with a little PLUNKO.

Everyone had their lemonade, peanuts and popcorn appetizers.....
Followed by the burger/hot dog bar and good 'ol greasy donut holes for dessert.

The only thing missing was the clown.  (By Mark's choosing.)

Next up was a super FIESTA!!!!  Hosted by the McCormacks in their cabin.

Did I mention it was HOT???  Wow....like....REALLY HOT!!!!  We were able to stay in the water a good portion of the day and luckily we found the PERFECT sandy beach.  LOTS of time spent in the water!!!  And since we couldn't be in the water ALL of the time, we found some other things to do as well!  Like tie-dying our Happy Camper's Club t-shirts!!!

They turned out REALLY cool!!!  Even the grown-ups had fun!

The week was wrapping up...and we ended with a CAMPING themed dinner! :)

Nice Photo Bomb

Dinner was topped off with BANANA BOATS....slice a banana, fill it with mini marshmallows, chocolate and peanut butter chips.  Wrap it in foil and let it cook in the coals for a few minutes.  VOILA!!!  Yum!

It was another AWESOME Happy Camper's week.
And again...Moob and Wigger snuck away before we got pictures.

 Thanks Friends!!!

Bayside Splash

We skipped swim lessons last summer.
Avery didn't want to go back.  Annalise didn't remember them.
We insisted this year.
Avery LOVED them.  Annalise didn't.
Only because they wouldn't "let go" and let her "swim" on her own! :)

That was then.....

And now....

Then....

And Now....

Cousin Time!!!

The girls were THRILLED when Uncle Paul decided to make a trip to Ferndale with the cousins!!
We hadn't seen them since Christmas so they were all very excited to be together!!

The weather was perfect for swimming and playing outside!

The girls decided to put on a "show" for us one night....

Avery and Annalise had swim lessons in the morning so Mark, Paul and the girls met us for a donut at Rocket Donuts afterwards.  YUM!!!!

After our treat, we headed over to the Bellingham Marina to check out the Marine Life Center.
They have some cool touch tanks and the "teacher" there had lots of great info for the kids!

Next we took a walk around the harbor.  It was a GORGEOUS day for a walk!

Lots of great photo ops!!! :)

Then it was time for lunch!!
They were kept busy with pizza dough while we were waiting for our food.
Gotta love La Fiama!

Annalise made a sculpture of Uncle Paul.  He was quite impressed!
See the resemblance?

We had a great visit!  Wish we could hang out more often!

Birch Bay Waterslides

Avery's Girl Scout troop sold a lot of cookies again this year.
Just like last year, the girls got to decide how they would split their money.
Half to help others....supplies for animals at the Humane Society
and toys and activities for children in the hospital ER.
The other half....FUN for the girls.
They decided to try a day at the Birch Bay Waterslides.  Unfortunately we can't predict the weather when trying to coordinate a time for everyone to meet and it turned out to be a bit chilly that day.
In fact it was about 58 degrees and CHILLY!!!!
Luckily....these girls are tough and the cold weather didn't stop them from having a BLAST on the slides for the day!!!! They hit them all!!!

Including the BLACK HOLE!!!!!

There was a bit of hot tub time in between to help warm up, too!

Even Michelle and I braved the elements to get in and have some fun with our troop!
We had a great time!
