Happy "Camping" in Sunriver, Oregon

This year's Happy Campers trip took us to Sunriver, Oregon.
This was the first time there for the girls and I.  Mark and his family had been when he was a teenager.
It's pretty cool!  There are tons of houses to rent in this crazy maze of streets that all look the same, roundabouts and bike trails!  It's a little community with a shopping center, an amazing water park, golf course, not to mention the Deschutes River runs right through it for more recreation.
(I think we'll have to go back and try Mt.Bachelor in the winter!)
We rented two houses....the Nelsons and us in one, everyone else in the other.
The other house was super close by so we could easily ride bikes back and forth.
We were all so happy to be back together for another week of memory making!

Lots of laughs!!

The kids all had a great time at the water park!
Tubing the lazy river....

And going down the water slides....over and over and over again!!!
Carter and Annalise....
Stacy and Jordan....
Robin and Avery...(hear Robin screaming?)
Annalise was SUPER excited to have her bike there and be able to keep up with
everyone else on two wheels!

Yep...we ALL rode!

We had an "Under the Sea" themed dinner at our house one night....
we got it all decorated....

And Robin was ULTRA creative with the food labels...
Another great night....

While we were in Sunriver, Kim and Pete celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary!

We had a super fun night celebrating.
The grown-ups stayed busy playing HEADS UP while the kids were putting the finishing touches on their super secret performance for the lovely couple.
Their secret rehearsing began the night before at the other house.

They were just about ready....

We brought Kim and Pete out to their special seat.
They were super surprised.
And then....this happened:

We did get the dance finished (with no car interruptions) and proceeded to have a
dance party in the cul de sac in Kim and Pete's honor.

We spent another day tubing the river....that was an adventure...and so much fun!
There was also plenty of time spent in the Sunriver village!
Putt Putt golf....(Robin's favorite!)

Bumper Cars (Annalise's favorite!)....
Yep...she was tall enough!

Ice Cream (Avery's Favorite)....
While we were in town, the girls found some trick jelly beans.
They are called Bean Boozled....
you draw a jellybean out of the bowl.
There are trick jellybeans and good jellybeans that look alike.
The black Licorice bean looks exactly like the Skunk Spray bean! Caramel Corn might also be Moldy Cheese. You may think you're tasting a Buttered Popcorn bean, but what you'll be biting into could actually be Rotten Egg. And they are NASTY!
Of course they wanted to try it out when we got home....

Geoff wasn't a fan....
Neither was Mark....

Annalise and Robin kept getting lucky!

I think we all ended up getting BeanBoozled at some point.  So gross.
Will not EVER need to play that game again!

On our last night, the grown-ups went for a nice happy hour at the Sunriver Resort.
Love these people.

Another successful Happy "camper" trip!
